2024-2025
Alfa Romeo Giulia EV
Alfa Romeo is making a significant move into the electric era with the upcoming Alfa Romeo Giulia EV. This all-electric sedan marks a new chapter for the brand, building on the legacy of the Giulia and its high-performance Quadrifoglio variant. Nearly a decade after the Giulia’s initial revival in the US, this new iteration is expected to be closely related to the Dodge Charger Daytona EV, sharing technology and potentially design cues. The Alfa Romeo Giulia EV represents a blend of Italian design flair and modern electric powertrain technology.
Audi Q6 E-Tron
The Audi Q6 E-Tron marks a pivotal moment for Audi as their first vehicle built on the new Premium Performance Electric (PPE) platform, developed in collaboration with Porsche. This all-electric dual-motor crossover is engineered for performance, capable of delivering up to 456 horsepower with launch control engaged. Audi’s plans include a comprehensive Q6 E-Tron lineup, featuring SQ6, RS Q6, and Sportback versions, catering to a range of performance and style preferences within the electric SUV segment.
Audi A6 E-Tron
Audi’s electric revolution continues with the Audi A6 E-Tron, bringing electric power to their classic sedan lineup. Built upon the same advanced PPE platform as the Q6 E-Tron, the A6 E-Tron is equipped with a substantial 100-kWh battery (94.9 kWh net capacity). This battery is projected to offer impressive range figures, with Audi estimating up to 466 miles for the base model, 416 miles for the sportier S6, and 435 miles for the quattro version – all according to European WLTP standards which are generally more optimistic than EPA ratings. Cadillac Escalade IQ
The Cadillac Escalade IQ represents a bold step into the electric future for Cadillac’s iconic Escalade nameplate. This full-size electric SUV reimagines the Escalade for the EV era, adopting a more streamlined and aerodynamic design compared to its gasoline-powered counterpart. While embracing a modern aesthetic, the Escalade IQ retains the luxury and spaciousness that the Escalade is known for, now delivered with an electric powertrain. Cadillac Optiq

Positioned as a more accessible “iq” model, the Optiq is built on GM’s Ultium Platform and offers a compelling blend of features and value. While slightly more affordable than the Lyriq, with an estimated starting price of $54,000, the Optiq will still be well-equipped. Standard features include dual-motor AWD, an estimated 300 miles of range, and three years of Super Cruise driver-assistance technology, making it a competitive option in the electric compact SUV segment.
Cadillac Vistiq
Cadillac further expands its electric SUV offerings with the Cadillac Vistiq, a three-row electric SUV set to join the “iq” family. While specific details are still emerging, the Vistiq is expected to be positioned below the Escalade IQ in terms of size and price, serving as the electric equivalent of the XT6. A tailgate badge suggests it may utilize the Lyriq’s 500 hp powertrain, hinting at a focus on performance. The Vistiq will provide an electric option for families needing three rows of seating within the Cadillac EV range.
Dodge Charger Daytona EV
Dodge is embracing the electric muscle car era with the Dodge Charger Daytona EV, heralding the arrival of “eMuscle.” This electric Charger replaces the traditional HEMI V8s with powerful electric powertrains, promising thrilling performance. Dodge is launching two 400V dual-motor AWD versions, including a Scat Pack with up to 670 horsepower and an R/T with an estimated 317 miles of EV range. For those not ready to fully transition to electric, Dodge will also offer inline-six powered Chargers, bridging the gap between electric and combustion engines.
GMC Sierra EV
GMC enters the electric truck market with its second EV pickup, the GMC Sierra EV, following the Hummer EV SUT. Launching initially in the Sierra Denali EV Edition 1 trim, the Sierra EV boasts impressive specifications. It is projected to offer up to 754 horsepower and an estimated 440 miles of range, even while towing. With 350kW fast-charging capability, the Sierra EV aims to combine robust truck capability with the benefits of electric power.
Hyundai Ioniq 9
Building on the success of the Kia EV9, Hyundai is expected to release its own three-row electric SUV, likely named the Hyundai Ioniq 9. Jeep Recon

Lucid is expanding its EV lineup with the Lucid Gravity, a full-size SUV poised to compete with the Rivian R1S, Tesla Model X, and Kia EV9. Expected to start around $80,000, the Gravity is anticipated to offer similar performance to the Lucid Air sedan, potentially including a 1,000+ horsepower tri-motor variant. With a projected EPA range of up to 440 miles and 900-volt architecture for fast charging, the Gravity aims to be a leader in the electric SUV segment, offering practicality with three rows of seating, ample cargo space, and a 6,000-pound towing capacity.
Mini Countryman Electric
Mini is electrifying its crossover lineup with the Mini Countryman Electric, following the Mini Cooper SE. This electric version of the subcompact Countryman boasts a lively 313 hp and 363 lb-ft of torque. With a Mini-estimated range of 245 miles, the Countryman Electric significantly surpasses the Cooper SE’s range, making it a more practical EV option for Mini enthusiasts.
Porsche Macan EV
Porsche’s best-selling model, the Macan, is going electric for its next generation, though the combustion engine version will remain available. While facing slight delays due to software issues, the Porsche Macan EV is highly anticipated. A Turbo version is expected to deliver over 630 hp, blending Porsche’s performance DNA with electric power. While the starting price is expected to be reasonable for a Porsche, customization options are likely to drive up the final cost.
Porsche Electric 718
Porsche is reportedly transitioning its 718 Cayman and Boxster sports cars to all-electric powertrains, potentially discontinuing the combustion versions. The electric replacements are expected to share a platform with the electric Macan and deliver impressive performance. Potentially exceeding 600 horsepower in top configurations, the Porsche Electric 718 models aim to redefine electric sports car performance.
Ram 1500 REV
Ram is joining the electric full-size pickup truck segment with the Ram 1500 REV. While the last of the “Big Three” to enter this market, the Ram 1500 REV is aiming to be a leader in specifications. Ram is promising up to 500 miles of range with a massive 229 kWh battery pack. The truck is also expected to offer significant towing capacity, up to 14,000 pounds, and quick acceleration, with a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.
Range Rover Electric
Land Rover’s first all-electric vehicle will be the Range Rover Electric. While full details are yet to be released, key features include an 800V architecture and a wading depth comparable to the combustion engine Defender and Bronco Sasquatch models, emphasizing its off-road capability. Visually, the Range Rover Electric is expected to closely resemble the traditional combustion engine Range Rover, maintaining its iconic design while embracing electric power.
Volkswagen ID. Buzz
Volkswagen is tapping into its heritage with the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, a modern electric reimagining of the iconic Type 2 Microbus. Bringing EV nostalgia to America, the ID. Buzz will be available in the US in a long-wheelbase version with three trim levels, offering both RWD and AWD configurations. The RWD model will offer up to seven seats, making it a versatile and retro-inspired electric van.
Volvo EX30
Volvo’s Volvo EX30 is generating excitement as a compact electric crossover. In AWD configuration, it’s set to be the quickest Volvo ever produced, with a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds. Volvo has stated that the RWD version will be their most affordable model, with a starting price under $35,000. However, tariffs on Chinese-built vehicles have caused production shifts and potential delays for the US release, impacting the final price and availability.
Volvo EX90
Volvo’s flagship SUV, the XC90, is being reimagined in electric form as the Volvo EX90. This three-row electric SUV will offer seating for up to seven passengers, nearly 500 horsepower, and around 300 miles of range. With production already started in the US, the EX90 is expected to arrive soon, bringing Volvo’s signature blend of safety and practicality to the electric SUV market.
2026 And Beyond
BMW Electric 3 Series
The BMW 3 Series, a cornerstone of the BMW brand, is set to redefine itself in the electric age with an all-electric version built on the new Neue Klasse platform. This dedicated EV platform will underpin the electric 3 Series, and BMW is reportedly testing a quad-motor setup for a high-performance M variant. Chevrolet Bolt EUV
Despite being discontinued and then revived, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV is expected to make a comeback. Utilizing GM’s newer Ultium battery technology, the revived Bolt EUV is anticipated to offer improved charging speeds and potentially lower production costs, while maintaining its accessible price point. The return of the Bolt EUV will provide a value-oriented electric crossover option in Chevrolet’s EV lineup.
Ford Project T3 Pickup
Ford, an early entrant in the electric truck market with the F-150 Lightning, is developing a new dedicated EV pickup codenamed Project T3, or “Trust the Truck.” This next-generation electric pickup is designed to compete with newer EV trucks from GM and Ram, offering enhanced capabilities on a dedicated EV platform. Genesis GV90
Genesis is developing its flagship three-row electric SUV, expected to be named the Genesis GV90.
