The Genesis GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV) Concept has been revealed at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, showcasing the brand’s commitment to technological innovation and distinctive design within the Genesis Vehicle lineup. This specialized electric vehicle concept underscores Genesis’s expanding vision of luxury and care, extending beyond typical road applications.
The GV60 MIV Concept, on display at the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort near the WEF venue since January 20th, has garnered significant attention. This marks the third consecutive year Genesis has chosen Davos to unveil a concept model, following the Genesis X Concept in 2023 and the Genesis X Snow Speedium Concept in 2024, reinforcing the brand’s innovative spirit and global presence.
Purpose-Built Genesis Vehicle for Rescue Operations
This year’s GV60 MIV Concept is specifically engineered for rescue support missions in challenging terrains and harsh weather conditions. Prioritizing both occupant safety and operational effectiveness, this genesis vehicle is a testament to functional design and engineering prowess.
Inspired by small unit support vehicles (SUSVs) and built upon the foundation of the Genesis GV60, the MIV Concept is an all-electric vehicle (EV) designed for exceptional off-road capabilities. Its electric powertrain ensures silent operation, reducing noise pollution and minimizing environmental impact in sensitive areas. Furthermore, the inclusion of a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system provides a mobile power source for essential auxiliary equipment during rescue operations.
Advanced Features for Extreme Environments
Every accessory and component of the GV60 MIV Concept has been meticulously selected for its superior quality and robust durability, ensuring reliability in critical situations.
Equipped with snow tracks for optimal traction in icy and snowy landscapes, the genesis vehicle also features sports seats designed for secure and comfortable occupant positioning during demanding maneuvers. Crucially, it includes comprehensive medical supplies and advanced emergency communication and warning systems, essential for effective mountain rescue operations in extreme conditions.
Large carbon fiber fender flares are integrated into the design to enhance safety, protecting both bystanders and vehicle occupants while also shielding the vehicle itself from potential damage in rough terrain.
To maximize cargo capacity for rescue equipment, a custom heavy-duty roof rack has been installed. Complementing this, the rear hatch is fitted with a rack featuring modular attachment points, providing versatile storage solutions for a wide array of mission-specific gear.
Genesis Vision Extended: Comfort and Care in Every Vehicle
“Genesis takes pride in crafting safe, meticulously designed luxury vehicles that embody audacity, progressiveness, and Korean distinctiveness,” stated Genesis Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke. “The GV60 MIV Concept expands this core vision of comfort and care, demonstrating the adaptability and innovation inherent in every genesis vehicle.”
The display of the GV60 MIV Concept at the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort concludes today, marking the end of its public showcase at this year’s World Economic Forum. The concept serves as a powerful statement of Genesis’s commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new horizons in automotive design and functionality.
